Let’s get straight about 1 thing – time is NOT your most valuable asset. Neither is money. I’m a little tired of hearing people tell me that. I know we’re all short on time, and it *feels* like it’s our most valuable resource, but it most definitely is not.
You know how I know that? Because I see it day in and day out. Business owners who are willing to put a lot of time into working on their business, the ones who are willing to think things through, who are willing to study hard, they are not the ones who move the needle. Business owners who spend a lot of money to work on their business, working with coaches, taking classes, hiring consultants – they too are not the ones who move the needle.
Want to know who moves the needle?
It’s the person who puts forth the most energy. The energy you put into something moves the needle.
Let me give you an example. I have worked with business owners who have spent many hours working on their business. They have thought through different opportunities, different angles, different pricing models, different product launches. They have spent money working with a variety of coaches to ensure their pricing and products made sense. And yet … the business goes nowhere.
Why? It’s simple.
Because time and money are NOT the most valuable resource that are guaranteed to make something happen. Nope. It’s energy.
When you actually put energy towards something – literally pick up the phone and call prospects, get out there and market, hustle … that’s when the needle starts to move.
I know time is precious. So is money.
But energy, well, that’s the priceless commodity.
